Celebrity Constellation liner docks in Le Verdon
On the 11th September 2012, for the first time in my career, I found myself in charge of a group of passengers from a giant of the seas – The Celebrity Constellation. It was docked in Le Verdon for a 2 days call.
So, I got to Le Verdon and ….. I just couldn’t stop myself from taking these photos. It is quite impressive don’t you think ?
The Celebrity Constellation in a few figures :
- Inaugurated the 12th May 2012
- 2038 passengers
- 999 crew members
- Tonnage – 91,000 tons
If you expect to be on a cruise and have a call in Le Verdon, I would be delighted to suggest :
- private tours in the the Médoc wineries to discover the great mythical wine estates that line along the route des Chateaux, passing through Pauillac, Margaux or Saint-Estèphe.
- A more picturesque circuit passing by the charming seaside resort of Soulac to admire the pretty 19th century villas or the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Fin des Terres
- A more unexpected tour which consists of crossing the estuary with the ferry boat to reach the district of Charente Maritime to visit Royan, "the most 50's city in France" and learn about the architecture inspired by Oscar Niemeyer's innovations and head to the vineyards of Cognac.
